PRIVATE FRENCH LANGUAGE CLASSES

The Alliance Françaised’Indianapolisprovides customized, private one-on-one and semi-private instruction. Start at any time and benefit from flexible scheduling and personalized instruction with a qualified native French-speaker teacher.

Private classes can be scheduled

  • Via email by contacting academic@afindianapolis.org
  • Off site at your home, office, or another location (pending instructor availability)
  • Via Skype or ZOOM

 

For students currently enrolled in a group class who missed a class, the make-up class special rate is $65 per hour. Contact academic@afindianapolis.org

French Language Classes over Skype/ZOOM

During this pandemic all of our classes are virtual. To attend our classes:

You’ll need:

  • A webcam
  • A headset
  • Skype or ZOOM Meetings installed on your computer
  • Students must send a confirmation email to their teacher following each French language lesson. This email serves as proof that the class occurred.

Ready to start your private French language class?

  • If you have previously studied French, please take a free placement test before requesting private classes.
  • Once the placement test is completed, contact us at academic@afindianapolis.org
  • Are you a professional working for the State Department, the USAID, an International Organization (such as the World Bank, or the IMF), an NGO, etc.? Do you need to improve your French for your professional development? Complete the registration form and complete the professional development section.This will help us to better target your needs.
  • The Adult Private Lessons Advisor will match you with the appropriate instructor for your linguistic skills and goals.

Rates, Virtual at AFI

One Student

  • 5-9 hours $70/h
  • 10-24 hours $65/h
  • 25 hours or more $55/h

Two Students

  • 5-9 hours $80/h
  • 10-24 hours $70/h
  • 25 hours or more $60h

Three Students

  • 5-9 hours $95/h
  • 10-24 hours $85/h
  • 25 hours or more $75/h

Other Fees:

  • Membership to the Alliance Française is required of all Alliance Française students.
  • Books may be required depending on your objectives.

Private Classes Policies

In addition to our general policies

  • Tuition and fees must be paid before lessons can begin.
  • Tuition is valid for 1 year.
  • Lesson confirmation: students must sign the form provided by their teacher at the end of each class to confirm the lesson.
  • Rescheduling a lesson: students must give 24-hours notice to the teacher.
  • Late cancellations result in 1 hour deducted from your credit.

Semi-private Classes

AFI does not currently match students. Students wishing to learn together may request semi-private classes. Students should have the same level and must submit placement tests to verify.
